OpenAI Releases Paid ChatGPT Professional Plan

Microsoft-backed OpenAI has released a paid version of its popular AI chatbot Chat GPT. Known as ‘ChatGPT Professional’, it is now available for $20 per month. The research lab announced its plans to monetize ChatGPT a week ago.

The improved but “experimental” version of ChatGPT claims to be available during high demand, with no blackout periods, priority access to new features, faster response rate, no throttling, and higher API request limits. The exact features and pricing of the ChatGPT Professional plan may vary based on specific user needs and agreements made with OpenAI. It is not publicly accessible as it is based on selection, and the company posted a waiting list link on its Discord server for the same.

Since its launch last November, the LLM-based ChatGPT has gained great popularity for generating texts and ideas from scratch, including explaining complex concepts, writing codes, making poems, etc.

In a recent interview, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman confirmed that the team is working to release a video model soon, though he stressed that he “wouldn’t want to make a competent prediction of when.”
